Meatball Parmigiana Casserole is one of our favorite, most satisfying meals to prepare. Tender Italian-style meatballs are smothered in marinara, topped with cheese, and baked until bubbling and golden. This oven-baked version requires no frying, makes minimal mess, and yields fantastic leftovers. It’s elegant enough for guests or holidays, yet simple and kid-friendly for busy weeknights.

Meatball Parmigiana
This flavorful Meatball Parmigiana takes only a little prep but delivers big flavor. Use store-bought marinara for a quick weeknight dinner or a homemade sauce when you want something extra special. The meatballs are placed in an oven-safe dish, covered with sauce, topped with mozzarella and Parmesan, then baked until the cheese is melty and the sauce is hot and bubbling. No stovetop frying, no splatter—just simple assembly and delicious results.

For this recipe we used pre-made meatballs and jarred sauce for convenience, but homemade meatballs and marinara work beautifully as well. After the meatballs are cooked, they’re arranged in the baking dish, coated with sauce, and crowned with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella. Baking concentrates the flavors and creates a golden, bubbly topping that everyone loves.

This casserole is versatile and reheats wonderfully, making it an excellent choice for meal prep or feeding a crowd. Serve it as a main course or get creative with side dishes and presentations.

Try it in a sandwich, over pasta, or spooned onto mashed potatoes—the rich marinara and melted cheese pair well with many sides. Leftovers make an easy lunch the next day.
