I’ve found a far better snack than popcorn for movie night: grilled bacon-wrapped jalapeno-stuffed olives. They bring a nice spicy kick from the jalapeno, a smoky note from the bacon, and a pleasant salty bite. Pop a bowl of these on the coffee table with a side of cool ranch or blue cheese dressing to mellow the heat, and you’ve got a winning combo.

Really Great With Any Stuffed Olives
You don’t have to stick with spicy jalapeno-stuffed olives if you prefer something milder. Any large stuffed olive will work — Gouda-stuffed olives are especially tasty. The key is to use olives big enough to wrap with bacon; tiny pimento-stuffed olives won’t hold up. While the grill is hot, you can also throw on a few other bacon-wrapped items for variety.
A grill basket is handy for this recipe because it keeps the olives from falling through the grates and makes turning and cleanup easier. If you don’t have one, just be attentive when grilling so nothing slips away.
If you like stuffed, bacon-wrapped appetizers, try these alongside my grilled bacon-and-cheese-stuffed mushrooms for a delicious spread.
